For a large chunk of my time at SUNY Purchase, I was writing for an online college women's magazine, HerCampus.com, and when we officially formed a club, was the treasurer. We tended to edit the content to gear it more toward what we thought Purchase students would be interested in reading, rather than what the branch managers thought, "typical," female college students wanted to read. These disagreements led to the eventual disbanding of the establishment on campus. But the time spent writing for them was a fun and interesting learning experience.
The site now runs extremely slow and visiting it often forces me to completely restart my internet connection, something I haven't encountered since my days with Windows 97.
